So tomorrow I get on a plane bound for Dresden, Germany.
I'm trading one cold, chilly, frozen land for another cold, chilly, frozen land.
But other than that it should be a blast. I really wanted to make it out to the London Meetup while im on the other side of the pond, but alas it looks like it will not be. Just outta curiosity though, any cool NG peeps currently staying/residing in East Germany? If so maybe we can meet up for a stein of bier!

I meant to post a 2008 retrospect (cause it was quite a year) but I got busy with a buncha projects (one of them being that "2008: A Joe Six Pack Odyssey" game that me and Zeebarf did for Comedy Central)

I promise when I get back I will report on my adventures in Deutschland, and spill the proverbial beans on all the amazing things brewing over at Diverge Creations. 2009 is shaping up to be damn amazing!

Also I'm really going to try to make it out to GDC in March. Who all is hitting up that event?

Like PianoForte already pointed out. People around Dresden have a weird dialect. But the beer there is ok. Mostly. Ah what the hell, german beer is the best in the world anyways. Well, Kölsch doesn't count. xD

Why would you go to east germany?? The west is lot's better and if you go a little more west you'll hit Holland. Much better ;)

HOLY CRAP, first East german here... it's cool you are coming here. The thing with the dialect is correct, you shouldn't even try bother understanding them if you speak any german at all... well, you are going to have lots of fun over here (although you only have fun with everything in the West, or at least thats what the old propaganda tells us ;)).
Anyway, you could, now, that you are here, come visit Thuringia as well. It's so much lovelier than Saxonia :)...
